oh and seba - valley of the moomins
Arabian Nights >> Your Sound

By some distance

Another would tune that encapsulates it all would be... Doc Scott - Tokyo Dawn
I don't think there is one.

I've always found this track a bit coffee-table loungey, but I'm aware I'm in the minority.
breakage - pmt

it's simple, noisy, unpretentious and angry
PMT is one rough amen tune

What a quality EP that is.
secret liaison by source direct is one of them for sure.
a big break, deep bass, and loads of emotional resonance.
top stuff.

Yes

closely followed by shimmer
one track that symbolises everyting i like about dnb?

.......

man, i just can't do it. going to have to name pieter k's "everything all the time" lp as default, since i didn't see it mentioned in the thread yet. Xyxthumbs
the closest thing has to be 'ASC - Windchime'

its deep, beautiful, hectic and manic, changing and building up all the
time but still maintains some repetive elements to keep me focused;
it carries amen into new heights and drops warm sub bass to lowest
depths, varies different glitchy sounds in a broad palette and brings a
melody that seem to hum even when im taking a dump.

it sounds timeless and cant be easily put under any specific
subcategory, works like a charm on my mixing style (despite the huge
shivers that go down my spine and force me to sit down and just listen) and
always stands up from any mix no matter how huge the other tracks are.

oh and the remix aint that bad either Smile
tunes making me cry because of their beauty (aries maze or aerosoul by paradox) or making me shiver because of their darkness (like stuff from intense or source direct).

cant name THE one....
This is a tough one... there's way too many to mention. Icon_eek

Sonar Circle's "Soul" on Reinforced covers a lot of it for me. Nasty drums, sick bass, atmosphere and strange samples... Homerdrool
T-Power - Amber

...for tonight anyway

it's not that good Wink
it depends on the day Grin

this one is great - Fanu - Tribes Rmx

recently it's been Macc - Messier 51 [Equinox Remix] - baaaaad!!!

is got the beautiful chaos element to it, that switching breakwork is ridiculously fresh, oh yeah, and the faint scream before the drop that sounds really nice! one of the few tunes i would play over and over like a damn lunatic Lol

Ahhhhhhhhhh...................

im glad its on the CD but its a crime that it wasnt on wax!!!!!!!!! Spank Grin
hmmm...black rose by source direct. every time i hear it i still get that same rush of vibe, technical prowess, power & surprise...i feel like i'm listening to some natural phenomena of destruction...the breaks just mash it up big time, and it seems to age really, really well too. straight up damage.

massively good calls you two.

secret liason was a fave of mine for ages.
and shimmer is too nice, only it sounds a bit sketchy, must have been an earlier production
I'd like to answer this question, but I don't think there is one.

Good point made about a lot of Metalheadz tunes combining different vibes though.
[NSF] Sativa - Untitled (track 4 on sYncoPathic 004)

moody, creeping onto you, flowing/grooving nicely with an interesting drum pattern and drum fills, obscure sounds and vocal samples thrown in... nice filter into the breakdown... OH YES!

this is the definition of what makes me happy! [Image: slayer3.gif]
marcus intalex - universe
[Image: n525370594_264175_8629.jpg]
doc scott - technology

seba & krazy - consciousness

dillinja - silver blade

fracture and neptune - ventura

...it's like a bloody LIBRARY out there!!! http://twitter.com/executivesteve
