"Transistor assembles itself using biology" - Lata - 14th January 2004 Oh myGod! This is amazing (although the title is well dodgy)! http://www.newscientist.com/hottopics/tech/article.jsp?id=99994406&sub=Nanotechnology "Transistor assembles itself using biology" - jim b - 14th January 2004 That is SERIOUSLY cool. Although the headline will presumably spark (more) fears of self-assembling nanobots taking over the world. Coli bacteria. Just goes to show, silver lining etc, good in all, blah blah. "Transistor assembles itself using biology" - DM - 23rd January 2004 Fascinating stuff! E. coli is one of the most useful bacteria out there. Normal strains of it inhabit our guts and help us breakdown food - without them in our guts, we'd be deprived of our major source of B-complex vitamins and vit K. We do so many experiments with it! There's just some strains that cause serious illness in man. Particularly E. coli O157:H7. Which is bad, mmm-kay. But it gives bad press to the rest of the E. coli family. "Transistor assembles itself using biology" - Lata - 23rd January 2004 That should be E. coli 0157-McBacteria!
