I can relate to "boys with a strong interest in traditionally female gender presentation but who identify as boys", since the "traditionally" implies that such gender presentation is not really female but is just culturally (and falsely) regarded as such.
But "identify as both genders" rankles, since the "both" implies that human gender is naturally binary and discrete, instead of being arbitrarily divided (according to binary sex) by local culture.
I guess this type of article is generally a good thing anyway, in that it shows gender being opened up for boys a bit. I just wish there wasn't such a rush to normalize it. Why not simply... "Gender is different for each of us. Don't get so worked up!"
