Hey Blue!
I think I am one of the guilty parties here. I go on to other forums and big up other artists and labels and often neglect Streetbeats. (I am just a simple punter out and about, only collect vinyl (so far) to play in my basement and make mixtapes for personal friends and personal amusement, so its not that big of a deal what I say or do.)
That said forgive me because I need to make one observation. I have read Naphta and others rate Streetbeats on other forums and as such I have gone out and looked for Streetbeat releases. . .found some Blue tracks and a smattering of other releases. I've only purchased a couple releases however. I like the music I am hearing but I have found the sound to be sort of muddy with low levels. . .not very upfront sounding. . .and as such while I like the tracks I've heard, the pressings leave a bit to be desired so its hard to get them into the mix.
I am at work right now so I cannot site the release numbers. . .but I have two I think by Blue, and have listened to a few other releases at local (Washington DC) record shops. I don't know if the tracks I've heard are among your older or more recent releases. . .but I need to note that at least to my ears, I've found the sound quality a little spotty. . .the tracks themselves seem very well composed however.
Please don't take offense, but I wanted to make that observation.
