Check out Pentagram if you haven't already.

https://www.discogs.com/artist/275370-Pentagram

Early 70's, doom metal roots & all. I watched this doc on the singer of Pentagram, Bobby Liebling called "Last Days Here" which is intrinsically sad, given his decades of addiction and unheralded commitment to all things Pentagram, no matter what circumstance his life may be in at any given time. Dude is a survivor, lets put it that way. The doc itself shows commitment to rock'n'roll, even if you end up an addict living in your parents house, keeping the dream alive, and YES, there are fans who hold Liebling up! There are glimpses of light within the doc as well. Overall,  "viewer discretion is advised" if you watch aspects of the doc. "Last Days Here" is available to watch in full on youtube.  It is hard to watch at times.

Coincidentally, earlier this year while touring with Pentagram, Liebling has ran into some recent personal legal troubles, and Liebling's involvement with Pentagram have once again ceased.

Best time for metal was the late 1980s - mid1990s. so many awesome albums. However, the 1990s also saw horrible things metal-concerned like Korn and Tool. Dreadful teenage memories of mine Icon_sad

And there was .... Metal-Rap , also dreadful.

I've never listened to much White Zombie, not that I was interested back then. From a distance looking back from what I can remember, they did have a really interesting range,  from the camp industrial thing, theatrics, the beats, maybe even a slight conceptual element?  Definitely for listeners who like a total package - imagery, tunes, a subculture based around a band, and of course a sense of humor. That's what I got out of the White Zombie thing from brief glimpses.

I'm slightly more interested in Rob Zombie as a creative mind outside of his music, with his touted works as a comic book artist, graphic novel author, graphic design, his animation & cartoon projects, and generally all things spooky & visual. I like his take on things visually. Never takes himself too seriously.  MUCH more interesting than his music, imo.  He has lots of art & related projects to check out.

There was a discussion in the comments of one of the white zombie videos where people were discussing how rob zombie has made a whole career on singing "yeah". LOL
