Frax + Fanu's 1996 revival
we are officially starting a '96 d+b revival! Dev Paradox has been striving to keep this style alive, and now has 2 new recruits! over many Aim convosations, Fanu and I have been discussing the '96 sound and agree that it's whats missing from D+B atm... not the beats, not the bass... the Vibe.

Judging by the clip Scarty posted up, this revival has already started.. long live 1996!

edit: its not actually official. i just got over excited, and your not allowed to do that in Internet land Icon_sad

Naphta vs El-B - Ruff Revival debut 12"
Ruff Revival’s manifesto is simple: to liven up the dance by offering the best in raw bass-driven tunes for the floor. Jungle, garage, and dubstep vibes get mashed up together on each release, with the emphasis on fun, rudeness, rhythms, and bass experimentation.

Sharing the same space, different styles get the chance to interact and reach new audiences, all the while delving back to the roots of hardcore UK dance music at its experimental and unselfconscious best.

After tons of distribution troubles, we're back on track. First up are digital versions of the first 2 12's, which I know some people have waited far too long for.

You can get them at Nu-Urban, Juno, or even DOA.
