The very first software what Ive used to make "music", was Turbo Pascal...
Ive just programmed a melody, by bleeping the internal speaker of my old 286 IBM...I remember how shit was calculating the notes to frequencies...
Then use FT2 for a while, but after around a year just switched to Impulse Tracker, I just loved it...
Then tried almost every software, Cubase (the old vst version), FL studio, Ableton the 3rd, Reason for a year, then Logic 5...
In 2006 just installed a hacked version of Tiger to my PC...just blowed my mind...
Then bought a mac, and my first sampler, and Akai S2000...
Ive tried a lot of different hardwares, but the current config is enough for me. An E6400 Ultra and an S1100 HD, with some outboards, and a big Ukraine 20ch mixing desk...
started out recording with a $5 radio shack mic and processing/layering into ambient stuff in sound forge 6.0. lost all of those recordings as far as i know... not that i knew what i was doing at the time :P
