This site allows NASA to collect data on the aircraft trails in the sky on Earth.
It gives them valuable data about whether these trails add to the cloudiness of earth, reflecting solar heat and stopping heat from escaping (i.e. contributing to the greenhouse effect?) A lot of research is being done into whether these things are dangerous, but it is hard to gather data without help from everyday observers...just click and record!
