thakfully brazil's world cup qualifiers were on last week so i didn't have to watch the women attempt football...gonna have to be egg chasing this week methinks.

It made me laugh that when it comes to tough challenges they act less like girls than the men do.

The swedish women can't score. It's also a shame that media are hyping women's football as well.

You lot are all joking aren't you? How can you say that it is hyped and shite? Of course it won't be of a high standard! Were you expecting Pele? It is people like you who keep accessibility of sports to the masses back.

Women have only a 10-year history of football leagues, no soccer schools, no soccer culture at home/school/playgrounds/society, they are not professional players, they have very little funding and sponsorship, they have had until recently no coverage, no rolemodels in the mens' game, they battle against constant gender stereotyping in the media and by male footballers, I'd like to see men with all that against them making the England team.

Come on England's ladies - your time will come, as will Womens' football, it's just a matter of a few years for the industry to mature.
