i still got my emu e6400 ultra and akai s900 running.
anyone else?
nope, got an Yamaha A3000 and A4000 though.
Still reckon ya can't beat the hardware when it comes down to it.
i sold all my hardware samplers , i wish i still had a s950 though
i use my kurzweil k2500 everytrack i do.. hardware rocks
almost forgot i have a emu e4x but its old and dated ...buttons stick and i lost my drive....would use it but is a bit pants.
anyone got an old akai s950 or maybe s900 they dont use anymore?
Still using my Yamaha A4000 also... quality sampler.... I use Kontakt a lot these days also, but agree you still can't beat hardware samplers for some things....

My old EMU is noisy as hell (really bad). Tried to revive it recently with a SCSI card I found to transfer samples.
Sadly the SCSI card was the cause of huge headaches (causing computer to crash roughly every 20 secs!).
I can see the attraction of 'ardware - but in my situation it ain't worth the hassle. I'm learning to make my peace with Kontakt (some of the more advanced functions are pretty groovy - if a bit of a pain in terms of GUI and 'intuitive' interface).
I know nothing.
still using the E64 but mainly for live shizness.
The emu 1820 has replaced it now in the studio.
if i get my lazy ass into studio mode .. im still working with my emu 6400 .. love it
fanu, do you actively use both?
i'm totally hardwarephobic

i traded my esi4000 for some really nice microphones and some nice fx:
the thing wasn't convenient enough for me to get the full use out of it and finding certain parts was impossible... so i use audio, my ensoniq mirage, Alesis SR16 (some of the drums on there are sick) and various softwares...
bought an s950 today. cant wait for it i!
theres two e6400 ultras at the studs but i dont use them since i can get the same sound out of kontakt..
seti cool ensoniq mirages have a really nice sound too i think
