also apreciate what THEY stood for, its just the evryone else I have an issue with.
This is crossover mass culture at its best ;/
I was a big Ramones fan in school. Always wanted a tshirt, but they were hard to get and I couldnt afford £28 in Virgin for one (this was the early 90s).
Now theres tshirts galore, and i can never wear one because every hipster spa has one in his/her closet. I read a blog post years ago about this were some grumpy old git pointed out that from his own experience, many of the people wearing the shirts didnt even know they were a band!!
Anyway, my point is, just because someone has a tshirt and mentions the Ramones doesnt mean they are a fan, and secondly, judging a band or a type of music purely by those who claim to be its fans would leave you hating nearly every genre of music ever created.
BTW - does everyone know 'Warthog'? One of Dee Dee's rare vocal appearances? that tune is sick. Ranks up there with '53rd + 3rd' and 'Today your love' as my fave Ramones tunes.
