like travis, snow patrol and a million and one other bands.

utterly dire.

imagine their second album with synthesis and sound design in place of emotional impact. it's not bad and it's not good, it's just completely forgettable. how could they write 'speed of sound' without knowing that it's basically the same song as 'clocks'?

i think coldplay is locked in an arena rock clash of the titans with U2 for the crown of most important offensively inoffensive rock band in the world.

well put. apart from the tune that borrows from kraftwerk i've completely forgotten the 3rd album already. love the other 2 though..
