oooh, sounds like older (good) tru playaz. personally not really feelin' the notes of the riff, but the groove and the sounds are mad slammin'! nice wun....... dorktits.
casio massiv gwarn scart grabbin this teh now
sileni Wrote:personally not really feelin' the notes of the riff
it's the 'i don't know what a scale is so i get to use all the notes' scale, as popularized by early '90s rave music and modern jump-up
cheerz blud
i wouldn't say they sound as random as THAT description, haha, or even random at all. it's just the metallica-riff/after-school-special-burglar-theme-music feel of 'em that isn't my total cup of tea. but that's just that aspect, the rest of it is groovin'....
.... dorktits.

Dunno if I'd call that two-step... Straight snares but the kick moves a bit.
Sileni's description is absolutely spot on
EDIT: BTW I can't stand it Sounds like you';ve been playing in a rock band and started making dnb again or something

Oh man! The intro sounds like some sort of cheezy atmospheric music you get in a low-budget horror film
Then it descends into the sort of music you'd hear in a scooby-doo scene where they're running away from the monsters.
No offence by the way
Oooohhh shit

ding ding ding!
the rock band is way better than this though, you might actually like it. our last show was the biggest headfuck ever...we're good enough to have gotten a gig opening a sold-out show and playing to 500 people, but still weird enough that a group of 'soccer hooligans' (we have those here?) were apparently shouting at us to get off the stage. this is probably where we're supposed to stop being weird so we can be successful, but it's just more fuel for the weirdness. bwahahahahahahaa

Macc Wrote:And where's that f#cking demo?
don't listen to that, it's terrible. we won't even play those songs when people in the audience beg us to
we're about to record the new stuff, and i'll be sure to spam all y'all with it once it's done.
But it was the answer to music when you did it

well, there's 4 of us now, not just 2, and the other 2 aren't just playing instruments, they're full creative contributors. the old stuff is missing some puzzle pieces. but the answer wasn't those 5 songs, it was the experience of writing new songs with a band, and to get new all the time, you have to write songs all the time. our new songs will perpetually make our old ones sound like trash
but i know what you mean. i'm pretty, er, 'enthusiastic' when it comes to spinning hype
THIS TUNE IS THE ANSWER TO MUSIC, PEOPLE!

things are rolling along quite nicely, added some subbass and another break layer and some little casio-rhodes-preset licks, and i've got the idea for a second drop in my head already. basically i'm going to turn the riff upside-down. this is so much fun! i wonder if this is the feeling that roni size or dillinja get off on, knowing that what they're doing is bad but loving it anyways.
