What's your fav URS plug in teh suite? I haven't tried them all because I always go straight to the Fulltec haha.

I also like how they offer plugin rentals like they do with hardware. I've never seen that before. Pretty cool.

N12 Lovesmilie There are times when the frequencies it deals with aren't what you want (being a graphic), but it sounds soooooo fat Lovesmilie When you have a break that just sounds good anyway, give it a bit of welly with this and then try not to jizz. On some jazz breaks it is just Icon_eek

And for when you need finer control, the Mix eq is also a stunner.

The Fulltec is very nice too, agreed, but the cut/boost controls at the top and bottom are a bit vague.

what is vague about two knobs labelled cut and boost? Hahaha

Is it a shelf? Is it a low/high pass? what characteristics does it have? Why are there two knobs - one for cut and one for boost - rather than one for cut/boost? And why doesn't it sound the same as both at 0 when you set both to max?

WHY?? TELLL MMEEEEEEE!!!!

ive been googling a bit and i think its just a Pultec eccentricity. A way of boosting and cutting in a musical way i.e. one that affects lots of freqs besides the one you're fiddling. Its not science its just what makes things sound nice...... maybe im just confused though.

Something about using both at their extreme combines the individual coloration of the cutting freq bell with the coloration of the boosting freq bell and creates nice sounding phasey audio sex effects.

Hahaha frequency bell

yeah - i can hear what it does and it's okay, but i'd prefer to know precisely what's going on Smile

I say if it sounds good use it.. If you need precision, throw a parametric eq on after it and make some precise cuts. I just love how fat it makes anything sound right when you throw it on.
