TIPS ON EQING?

Lol You're true a master of allegories. It all makes sense now. Hahaha

Funnily enough I thought about eqing and its equivalence to making food (namely pizza) just yesterday (after a couple of beers, though) Teef
Like: a Paradox track being a traditional tomato, cheese + oregano pizza, but with *really* nice ingredients and well.. just properly baked and funky! Smiley
Compared to: a Teebee track, being like one of these endless toppings new type of pizzas with sauce hollandaise, shrimps + stuff (involving a lot of flavour enhancer and such things) ...

Then again I'm probably talking out of my arse, but it did make sense yesterday!! Cool

So, I think your point is: don't boost if you don't need to, but if you have to boost, don't excite? Grin

Something else: someone tell me, why nearly all of the URS-EQs only come with certain fixed frequencies? Seems strange to me. Almost like in a graphic EQ.
Ok, maybe it works too, but why do they limit themselves (and thereby me)? Icon_sad

basically yes - but that's my approach, and if someone gave me an exciter that really did what i wanted it to do i'd have no problems using it. fact is i don't really like what they do Smile Neutral Smile

cos they are graphic eq's. they're soft versions of real eq's, innit. i know, i know, they can make them so they aren't, but then they wouldn't be reproductions.

personally i like it - it takes a lot of the bother out of eq'ing. if it ain't got the frequencies i need, i try differeing amounts of the nearest couple, play with the q (where available) and then maybe use a different eq. big deal! :d

Indeed.

Jeeeeez I am such a geek.

I was just about to say that there's no limit to cake headroom, and then realised I was thinking about 0dB being the equivalent to the rim of the cake tin Oops Oops Oops
