dubstep production tips

apart from silly amounts of reverb :P

just interested to know what tricks people have heard / tried and how it differs to d'n'b ...

get the impression they use a lot of the more basic software but still get an amazing sound ..

Definitely the emphasis is on four or five elements say, and lots of space. Someone like Loefah is more like a minimal techno producer in how he uses sounds in relation to each other I think.

And always a weight - and often very simple sub. I think the ES1 sine from logic is quite popular as the fundamental element of the bass.

never really checked it out Chin

how about the wobble element to the bass??

it always sounds a bit deeper than in jump up dnb
