Quote:LONDON (Reuters) - Award-winning comedy actor Chris Langham has been charged with 15 counts of making indecent images of children, Kent police said on Thursday.
Langham, 57, who won a Bafta television award on Sunday for his role in the BBC comedy "The Thick Of It", was charged on Wednesday night after he returned to police to fulfil bail conditions.
Police said the offences related to "Internet crime".
The actor, from Cranbrook in Kent, had been arrested and released on police bail last November. He will appear before magistrates in Sevenoaks on May 17.
Last December, Langham was named Best Television Comedy Actor at the British Comedy Awards.
In one of his best known roles, he played presenter Roy Mallard in the BBC comedy "People Like Us".
He was in the original line-up for the BBC's "Not The Nine O'clock News" and appeared alongside Griff Rhys Jones in "Alas Smith and Jones".
One of his most recent TV roles was in the BBC show "Help" alongside Paul Whitehouse.
His film roles include "Carry On Columbus", "The Big Tease" and "Life Of Brian".
