Hmm... just heard a good thing.

It would need to be 'one flew over the cuckoo's nest' good to equal the book still.

I'm in Boston, it opened last friday.. saw it on Sunday. Not bad, the "rotoscoping" animation stuff looks really really nice. Sticks pretty close to the book from what I remember of the book, including lots of direct dialogue. I don't remember much about the end of the book though so it could have diverged more later and I wouldn't have noticed.

we'll save u a seat Smile
I'm crossing my fingers that its merely ok given the let downs on book/comic adaptions I've seen in the past.

That depressing isn't it...
looks pretty wack to me actually..keanu reeves in a movie is usually a bad sign.

yeah,

like We for Windetta?

ok enuf in its own right, tragic as an adaptation.
One of my favourite books !

I only go to the cinema a few times a year usually - this might have to be my first visit this year !

Haven't seen this, so my comment isn't fully informed, but I wish they went with Charlie Kaufman's script for this. Read some bits online, definitely would have made a sick movie, that man is a genius. As for this version, I still have high hopes. I saw posters for it at the theater in Philly last week, so I'm sure the wider release will be soon.
I'm a bit too ecited about this film tbh.. can't wait for it... Hyper

first 24min of the film
I saw it last night. I kind of have mixed feelings about it. I went with high expectations, but left feeling slightly dissapointed by the way they told the story. It starts off like this weird black comedy type thing, and then suddenly gets serious at one point in the film. I guess in all, it does follow the book, but only to a certain degree. Could have been brilliant. Baffled
I saw it last night as well, and was pretty happy with how it came out.

I would definitely recommend seeing it , and finally we have a PKD movie that is closer to the Bladerunner end than the Minority Report / Paycheck end.

Eek
