some of it is bare cpu hogging for not much nicenesses.
The pitchshift eats my cpu. Need to find another real-time pitch shift.

Tried X-noise the other day on the apache and it took the humming clean off it. That was nice.

Don't like the waves eqs because they don't seem to work properly! Baffled

I use RVerb as my main reverb, i like the eq reverb bit of it.

I also enjoy the panning tapedelay thing,....use that a lot.

Enigma is quite cool but i've never used it in a track.

All the rest of the Waves plug-ins i never use because i don't know how.

ooooohhhhh that Mondo plug-in.....started using that last week. It was just what i wanted for the movement in the panning. Thats very nice.
enigma is the most overused plugin EVER!!
I love Enigma Grin Metaflanger too.

The eq's are ruuuubbish though, bar the SSL eq.

Trans x is pretty nice.... The X noise is good to get rid of background noise and hiss but be careful, if you go heavy on it you can get some really weird artifacts. The SSL EQ's nice but I still prefer those URS compressors (the 1970 is ... Homerdrool )over the Waves SSL....
The SSL and URS comps are tooooootally different - both have their uses for different things IMO.

Definitely... I prefer the URS comps for breaks, big full sound on drums.. I like the SSL on drums too but seem to prefer it for bass vs the URS...
I'm the other way around Grin

I like the SSL gently on a drum group if I'm using more than one break, it just pulls em together a bit without costing punch. The URS ones are just fatness machines, on anything!! Lovesmilie

Bit annoyed at Waves prices. Mainly because the APA 44-M is so expensive and you only get two lite plug-ins with it.

Doesn't seem worth it when for less than that, you can get a Duende with its 32 SSL channel strips ready to go.
ok.

i made 2 new tunes in logic with waves plugs that are on trial...and i have a trial restart code, but it needs to be run in a classic environment. the trial ran out and now i can't even open the tracks! wtf!?
L3 !!!

w000t clown on!!!!
where's my cd?! jason?!
hahaha just kidding. Teef

what's happenin? Wave
might have to uninstall them completely.... i can see if i can track down any osx stuff for ya if that'll at least help? hope you get it fixed...
hmm...good point.

out this week, once i get my dispursement wednesday.
I like their noise removal plugs. It helps me out with my scarily huge collection of dusty Christian records I got for free....

Lol
new meaning to the Amen break.

X crackle's pretty good, I like Xnoise for hiss and background noise but if you go a little heavy on it I start to hear weird boxiness and an almost mp3 kind of noise, I'm guessing it removes bands of frequency information based on the "learn" key kind of how an mp3 tries to leave as much information there while removing what it can? Haven't figured out it's best application yet but knowing me I may be abusing it... Teef

J. oS ... started my Sound design for film class yesterday....
seems like it will be alot of field recording at first but later on we get to design fx with a Moog and work in surround sound. Lovesmilie
ZNoise beats XNoise hands down Smile

But Voxengo Redunoise beats them both - if you have 80 years to learn how to use it.

voxengo redunoise!!! gotta love descriptive names...

like rennie deflatine - although the pronounciation kills me everytime i hear it...
I could do a bit of a noise reduction tutorial if I get time (which is a bit rarer these days Neutral )...
