really u think the ssls are better i was pissed off i spent my cash on the ssl 4000 bundle, when pretty much everything in the bundle i dont use and end up using old renaisance plugs or whatever....suppose this is just me tho..............ill second the trans x being great aswell
yeh im gonna have to test them a bit more i think ...u mean run stuff throo th eq flat?? or run them throo the ssl channel flat???
trans x is another plug in that gets much kudos but I haven't got round to trying out.
Can I ask, exactly what is it for???
also dj fada- u need to try again with the ssl & keep in mind u don't need 2 wack the controls up huge amounts for it to do it's job....think subtle!
I only have certain controls boosted/cut by 0.45 on average & it makes a world of difference (in a good way)
I really couldn't live without the ssl's when it comes to mixing down songs in cubase...I really couldn't.

yeh i have had a little play around with them this evenin and gotta say im changin my mind on them
btw- i luv the comp...it seems 2 have that punchy ssl sound that ppl pay big money for...ok in a a/b comparison with an actual ssl desk it probably would fail miserably but in my pc it sounds good when compared to other plugins.

trans x is great for gettin some decent punch on flat drums ive found
I like the SSL comp, but in side by side tests the UAD Neve shits all over it, lets it dry out in the sun, burns it, then pisses over it to put the flames out.

waves SSL blows compared to Duende, which is nearly as good as my H/W unit...
