It would still be super nice... Plus a single stereo channel just to bung everything through would cost just as much really, and be far less flexible.

In short;

^ Hahaha so you gonna get 2 Fat Tracks in 2 different colours then? Teef
Hahaha

i like the idea but i think i wanna read some review and try one out before i even consider it.. theres alot of cool shit out there for alot less!

but i have to say there is nothing like a bit of tube joy, i am totally in love with my mesa boogie and im sure more class a goodness will follow....
Don't get cocaine on your mesa boogie ghuy Teef

There is in deed a lot of cool shit about, but the price of that is very reasonable really. Okay, so I'd want the ADAT expansion which bumps the price up a bit, but the flexibility!... Also, that desk does sound proper - and to have a mini DAW-specific version of that would make Mr Macc a happy camper.

it would be a perfect coupling for your uad obsession...
Waiting to see what price Thomann are gonna knock them out at when they start stocking them Smile

Hahaha It's true though... Why have a big rack full of 'alright' stuff when for the same money I can have this, my UAD's and one CHOICE compressor for mastering? Smile Got all the bases covered then innit, at least for my sort of budget.

ANN IT WUD BE BARE PHAT YA NO

mmm which choice compressor?

..stereo 1176 clone... ssl mixbuss ...distressor... or something else?
im wondering how the adat option works tho, is it 8 channels of digital from pc to FT then 2 channels back or 2 channels either way?

i guess we shall see...
I dunno but let me dream will you... Teef

They will surely have sorted it out to work in the most logical way, they seem to have thought about it a lot...

i woudl hope so - im just pondering how expensive 10 ad/da type convertors or a decent enough quality to match the rest of the unit are.. i guess actually at £500 (roughly the price of an RME) they bloody well better do 8 / 2!!
