what labels & dj's pushing the sound are gonna submit?

#1
with school about to go back it's crucial to start pushing these sounds....

i have slots open for monthly or bi-weekly (if demand permits its) to
stream a guest mix put together by those involved in the movement.

so if you have material or mixes to broadcasted in my "unwind radio
sessions" or "detuned radio" shows please let me know you are out
there.

need concrete commitments too. i can't advert upcoming shows
and not have the dj's submit me stuff...

let's get this thing going!

you know the bambu dj's got your back....there's a couple of mixes onlnie already, but we got some new bits coming soon on a higher bitrate! What are the minimum requirements for sibmittable mixes?

those online mixes are not the highest quality Baffled

but i'm gonna record some mixes anyway, you can broadcast em if you like em of course!

oh yes, i got this one mix... but i'm not really happy about the tracklisting (the point was to prove a point to some people on the belgium dnb board accusing me of being an elitist, so i made a mix with all the dnb records i bought most recently, trying to make it broad)

tracklist:
1. breakage "spritualism" breakin
2. klute "problem reaction" commercial suicide
3. dkay & dj lee "pipe dreams" 31 records
4. max fresh "shutdown" dispatch
5. hidden agenda "far out" metalheadz
6. a-sides "tabletop" eastside
7. breakage "disco 45" bassbin
8. special forces "sidewinder" photek prod.
9. rufige kru "arkangel -teebee rmx" metalheadz
10. facs & scythe "polyglot" biotic
11. paradox "play twice before listening" droppin science
12. sonar circle "???" reinforced
13. black rain (deep blue & omni trio) "streamline -neil trix metro rmx" scale recordings
14. london elektricity "billion dollar gravy" hospital
15. marcus intalex "lose control" metalheadz
16. k (polar) "blur" breakbeatscience
17. spirit "20/20" inna-active
18. calibre "twister" 31 records
19. zero tolerance "rift" skunkrock
20. black rain (deep blue & omni trio) "tonight" scale recordings
21. deep blue "soho code" offshore
22. the vagrant (a-sides) "phazes" fuze
23. doc scott "nhs -total science rmx" 31 records
24. bkey "outcry" outbreak
25. break "sticky situation" eastside
26. asc "windchimes" inperspective
27. equinox "alpha proxima" inperspective
28. alpha omega "don't believe it" reinforced

I can do a Streetbeats dub plate mix with all the new SB stuff. Unfortunately though at the mo i don't have much other material to include from the other Subvert labels. Of course though i want stuff so i will liase with Blue first to get some cds he has already been sent and do a Final scratch mix but if anyone has any material i could include please forward it on (PM me).

Cheers.

i'd preffer cd's sent or 256k [192 bare minimum if recorded well] mixes as i really don't feel like broadcasting from tincan alley. i've noticed on alot of webradio that sound quality gets sacrificed for the simple fact that it's exclusive. lets keep the quality of the sounds as a focal point, and please remember these are more radio shows than dj skill showcases. here the music is king. all about pushing these sounds to people right?

indeed nerve. i find i like to leave room for the music to breathe moreso when i do a radio show as opposed to firing through them quickly like in a live situation.

i don't own a minidisc player Icon_sad

as for the recording....it's broadcasted in real audio and when the archive
goes up @ http://www.rhythmicunrest.com I lower them to 128k as to protect the artists involved.

yeah man but the odd quickie never hurts also to re-instate your stamp on the set. letting the tunes do all the work is not always right. its about finding that right balance. something i am still learning.

here are some specs about the mix:

if possible make them about 57-58mins as i have to
play a commercial at the end of each hour. if they are
longer i will just have to fade them out due to time
restraints.

as for people giving me a choice of mixes.......just pick the
one you feel is best representative of the collective
sound.

any other irish dogs other than rohan gonna get in?

cheers btw rohan! you know ya big! Xyxthumbs
