Finally an awesome 808/909 (+606) VST !

Another swedeish company i think... been checking out the swedish sites recently

They do the BEST 303 emulator, the TBL, which i went to buy on sat, and noticed they do a new 808/909/606 drum box (plus you can also load in samples)

Its is fantastic, never heard anything even remotely close to a real 808. Its stunning

Bought it within an hour, was checking my email every ten mins for the code

The 303 and 808 came to £100 together, bargain. Check out the demos if you are into this, AO maybe ?

Rebirth was good in its day, but it's 10 years old now, and probably sounds it. I ain't used Rebirth in at least 8 years (fukkin ell - 8 years?!?)...

automation jumps; it only records the first movement, so initital settings are lost. im guessing workaround is to leave a few bars at the start and twiddle ya knobs until theyre in the right place...

edit oh and i forgot to add, you dont have to use the sequencer, you can use the hits like battery, but they all interact like the on board seq

Quite funny you mention that. Went through the 40 odd tracks i've made over the last two years and there was only 6 that i kept! What a ratio that is!

I'm still on that break from tune making i mentioned before. It has been very good. Really been able to look at what i'm trying to do and not just make tunes for making-tunes-sake.

Yes bro, ive been quietly squirreling away but yeah loads forthcoming man!

Everytime i have a time out period i just use the time to make sounds and noises instead of tunes so that when im back "in the zone" as it were, i have a platter of bits n bobs to get stuck into!

So did you recover your cubase? didnt you have some computer meltdown or something?

No meltdown. I just accidentally deleted cubase (long story). I had before this deletion been deciding if i should take a break from production, for numerous factors (making crappy tunes, spending too much time making crap tunes, etc) so when the deletion occured i just ran with it. Said "The decision has been made". I kind of lost my way to be honest; forgot why i started making tracks in the first place.
