Hmmm...

We need LOTS!

Well, the more we get, the more we can do, like extra advertising & promotion etc...
how much is exactly needed?
karbonkid Wrote:how much is exactly needed?

we now have 200 pounds with 9 people...9 people!!! where's all the rest???

if by the end of the month things don't look different we can conclude the subvert massive is a bunch of bigmouths Twisted

Can someone sketch out a business plan and keep the books open so ppl know where their money is going? I think it's unreasonable to expect us to donate without both of those things. cheers, Dave

a business plan? Hahaha

once we get enough to release one record then we release one record and see what happens — all money arising from that record goes back into the label

that straightforward enough?

a business plan?!

I think it's foolish not to have a business plan if you're starting a business and soliciting investors for money, which is exactly what you're doing. I imagine a lot of labels start this way-- without anyone seriously keeping track of the books, without any clear plan of projected revenues & expenses, release schedules, how often the label will have to front x amount of capital, advertising & press strategies, etc-- and probably most of them fail due to a lack of such planning. I'm not a business type but is it so absurd to think farther in advance than a single release?

ok so...

Subvert Central label business plan
projected revenues.... £0 (we're doing this for the love!)
projected expenses... £1000 per release (minus income from previous release)
release schedules...... as soon and as often as we can afford it
advertising & press strategies... as much as possible

yes, it would be advisable to keep the income and expenditure properly documented for all to see — and interesting too to see what's involved in the outgoings of a label

at present the books constitute...
£230.50 donated from the subvert massive ( 'resting' in my account Wink )
230 quid with 9 people aint bad at all i tell ya
thats quite an amount already!
