Ive no idea what you mean by your first sentance above.
It was music derived from hardcore, where the piano element was the main feature of the music along with the breakbeats.
Hardcore evolved into jungle/drum n bass and happy hardcore......
You could apply the second sentance above to any music couldnt you!!??
All dance music was/is drug fuelled to a certain degree, you could say that about any genre old and new.
In general response/defence to the above....
Fair enough if people dont like HH then they dont like it,
TBH it doesnt bother me one way or the other.
When ppl just say it is utter shite, that is hardly constructive criticism is it!!
IF you dont like it fine but dont base your opinion on listening to one or two mixtapes or tunes from 13/4 years ago, that is not a fair representation of the music.
Back in the day this was very popular, if ultimately relatively short lived, genre of music, raves were rammed and music sales were good.
