Banking headaches...

Arrrgh!

Right, here's the situation.

According to Blue, SRD are looking like being the distributors for Subvert Central when we get things going.

Of course, since the distribution company is in the UK it makes sense to have the SC account there too... but I can't open an account in the UK without physically walking into a branch over there to set it up.

I have been talking to Bank of Ireland here and filled up some forms ... I have to go back to them tomorrow. I was hoping to use this account for SC but the problem is that I think SRD with only deal with people who have an account in the UK. Is this true? Blue, other label owners do you know if this is the case...

The other way to do it would be to have an account in Ireland and then just give SRD someone elses details in order to lodge SC money, which they could then lodge into the SC account in Ireland. But I would like to avoid that...

Geeza,

if you and Blue do a joint account, then surely he can set it up in the UK without you physically having to be there? However, I'm sure SRD ain't got a problem with dealing with folks out of UK, cos that would just be bad business for them.

I thought banks like Natwest/HSBC-first direct/etc... were global?!?!?!

... Not a bad idea at all!

I'll take a day off and go up!

I presume SRD would have no quibbles with that???

Blue, can you find this out for sure?!

When you do DON'T use one of the local banks, (ulster Bank, FirstTrust etc) they are cowboys, there's an HSBC in Belfast use them.

Belfast has more banks than you could imagine in your wildest dreams its a bankers paradise people come here just to bank. Banking all over the place.....people just walk around banking, and talking about banking and trying out each others banks. Its bank-tastic.
