I can't believe I've registered up here. I guess I've never felt I had anything much to say which hasn't been said already. Hey to Statto and the lovely Kontra - they'll know who I am...

I was with ashes when the lovely djfada was 'refusing to be pushed about or whatever it was he thought he was being'. He sent personal e-mails to ashes and ashes just laughed. The reason ashes left was very little to do with djfada whose account I think should have been deleted for the way he behaved which is against all this forum stands for and is about. When you register there are terms and conditions - these terms and conditions were broken by djfada.

Ashes can be a cunt - I should know but this whole forum was his idea.

He realized though that all his real friends on here are friends outside of here and they are the ones who have a positive creative influence on his life and there was just too much drivel, crap and annoying people banging on about d&b who were closed minded about music and it was nothing like the place he hoped it would be when he first had the idea for the site. Djfada just helped him see that more clearly so in a way he is actually quite grateful to the silly boy.

Now I know everyone will think this is ashes/blue/zno but god he never writes this much. He is writing some cracking tracks again though

Very true. Of course DnB will be dominant, because that's what brings people here. The people here are more open-minded about music than almost anywhere else i've been. If he was looking for some ideal utopia where everyone fitted in with his vision, he's not gonna find it anywhere, let alone the internet. Oh well! I'm grateful for his contribution and look forward to his return.

I like Ashes. Ive had plenty of disagreements with him down through the years, and he can be a trenchant buffoon at times , but the man deserves respect for his passion.

Just because there may was a certain indifference in some quarters to Ashes' periodic bouts of shouting about 90s indie rock doesn't mean that people on this forum were musically closed-minded. Perhaps they just didn't share his tastes - or perhaps his methods of 'converting' people (i.e. browbeating them) were less successful than he might have liked.

Still, a part of me does miss the curmudgeonly old fuck.

Yeah - those reasons were his he gave to me. He's not really so black/white. I think there is more to it and it's not for me to go into it really. He knows what I think.
