:cry: mono compatibility

spent ages and ages on this mix, and bounced it down, was 'mastering it' last night and tried it in mono and half the midrange disapeared must be almost 100% out of phase.

cant understand why, its a mono synth with one oscillator, altho there might be a chorus on it which would explain things. have to try taking it off later.


the sub and kicks are mono mono but the midrangey 'wobble/dist/filtery' bit vanishes. grrr. is this a major prob?

Dunno. Prob be played out on a rig at some point. Hoping itll get signed. well buzzing about it, first and best thing ive done in ages.

been thinking of ways round it. could just use the left channel, or right, and mono it. been trying to get my head round stereo signals, panners, dual panners etc.

While im here;

i have a stereo signal, obv differences. if i pan hard left, is that just the left signal (original) or a mix of L+R? Be a lot easier at home. i sent it to a mono bus but it collapsed, so need to do L or R .

Be easier at home. Shame it sounds wicked apart from the mono collapse.

well i fixed it. took some time to get it sounding the same in mono, ut worked. was a chorus on the synth.

hi TVG & Fush - its actually a techno/dubstep tune :P not done any dnb in a long while. might be doing some soon thos with a mate, well into the amit/halfstep thing.

ill send you both some tunes later tho - got some bits you might not have heard.

Fush - i moved up north mate ! nice small town in peak district called marple. very nice. so wont be back at all except for the odd one off . maybe the next sc curry if i get lots of notice.
