In all fairness, he inherited a squad that was loaded with dreck. How the hell he won the CL with that lot is anyone's guess.

He had his high moments (CL and FA cup wins, good Euro form, big wins over Chelsea and Man Utd, dynamite attacking footie in the second half of 08/09).

But some baffling behaviour paved the way for his dismissal. Such as, defending all too often when attacking footie worked, especially against lower table opposition.
He also made daft substitutions (the second leg against A.Madrid a prime example).

Not to mention his puzzling transfer moves (a crocked Aquilani, the Keane subbing debacle).

I'll remember him for the good moments but his time is up. Like Houllier, he overstayed his welcome.

Now for a fresh approach.
