Been messing around with the demo of v2.1 after sacking it off on v1.5.

Like home from home, Octamed for the present day. Low CPU usage, quick interface, nice built in sample editor, excellent automation implementaion, AU support etc etc.

Really considering buying it.
A lot of peeps on DOA use it, i dont personally.

Doesnt cycom use some sort of tracker.

I used one once yeeeeeears ago (i did G'n'R's paradise city in it ! Hahaha )
i used this ages ago, forget which version i last tried though

problem back then was the tempo was fucked and it lied to you about what it was (you set it old school tracker style so it ended up being like 169.19583989bpm or something, but it would lie to you and say it was just 169bpm or something), so that it was really hard to layer stuff from/to cubase or whatever.

it was really good though and the AU effects and automation worked very nicely.

only thing is that i wouldnt really use the sample offset thing anymore to do choppage unless you were going for a certain style or using already quantised samples because you cant set it sample accurate.
yar, i use renoise. actually bought it too can you imagine!!!

its wicked. does what i need. i like not seeing your arrangement sometimes.

why's that a problem? Smile this way you even *keep* the groove (since offset works like a "grid") - I've tried making beats in a lot of host programs, but the offset-tracker-method has always been the most rewarding for me. no sample snippets, just plain loops broken on-the-fly Lovesmilie and even easily exchangable beats, if they are similar in rhythmic structure.

I'm currently becoming friends with Logic, but that's one feature I will always miss Neutral

When you say stuff like that, it makes me want to try it instead of Logic Hahaha I know what you mean about the offsetting thing, i think that'd be a breath of fresh air for a YEARS long grid user to try out....

ps Thomas, apparetly it Rewires - is that not something you'd consider? Maybe for doing just breaks in? Always feels a bit 'clunky' using 2 DAWs/seqs though i think Roll
it does rewire? Hyper

Reason > Renoise via Rewire works just fine. Not sure how to help with Logic > Renoise though mate.
