OK, so the last 5 months have been pretty busy...
putting together a show that I took a pretty stiff financial loss from, on top of that loosing my job and being work-less the last couple months...

SO!!...needless to say I haven't been able to get any new vinyl for close to 6 months!!

Payday's coming up, and I'm going to finally be able to get a couple new albums...I'M FRIKKIN PSYCHED!!

Just the thought of getting home and seeing that pack waiting there...opening the pack and smelling that fresh vinyl!!! AAAAHHHH....

I'm going to freak out if I keep thinking about it...I think I may be going through new vinyl withdrawals....
Lol

Yes I know what you mean man.
There's nothing quite like opening that parcel and glimpsing those delicious grooves.
Got a load to pick up myself from the post office tomorrow morning Hyper

Ahh man, I nearly made a thread like this just today. I'm currently playing new (old) records. Instead, I updated my Facebook status with the following:

Mark Melhuish has new old records, and loves records. CDs- get back in your flimsy plastic cases, and realise that you are lame. You don't even have better sound than a hundred year-old medium for playing music. And you don't feel nice when coming out of your packaging for the first time. And you don't have a nice smell. And you don't look cool when you're being played, spinning round like the train on a kid's first train set.

Basically, CDs are not where the experience is at.
you lot are the musical equivalent to old men with dirty mags Smile
opening up a record mailer is a good feeling though, especially when you are siting at work, it gives a few brief moments of pleasure in an other wise long and hard day at work.

maybe thats why I keep ordering so many records!!??

should have a few records waiting for me when I get back to work on monday, among the pile of work!!!!!
gotta say.. I do very much miss the smell of a freshly pressed dubplate Icon_sad

did i read correctly somewhere that u can get addicted to the smell of vinyl..? sure i've read of a case of that

that reminded me of a guy in Sweden who was diagnosed as being addicted to music. well, to be precise, Black Sabbath! someone finally showed the man sympathy and employed him on the basis that he could work in an office ( far from anyone else in the building ) and crank his Black Sabbath albums all day long.. haha

how sick is that?!! s'cuse the pun!

Here's the morning glory...
