Henryk Gorecki - Symphony Of Sorrowful Songs, Complete Suite, as conducted by Kryztof Pendericki and the Polish National Symphony Orchestra.

Subtle differences throughout, of three mighty pieces. Enough recording difference and aesthetic chance to warrant having 2 versions on CD. To this end, I have the original and orchestra versions.

This is heavy music, "music to top yourself by" for lots of people, I guess, but there is a stark and comforting beauty to all of it. Not so much cliffhanger, more like coathanger for a nice jacket.
