Hip Hop + Drum & Bass done well

I was listening to the track about 2 minutes into this Ulterior Motive mix on Soundcloud and it's a really nice blend of hip hop and a kind of half tempo dnb track. Anyone knows what it is? It sounds like Taskforce rapping.

Anyway it got me thinking about all the attempts to mix the genres and couldn't really remember any good ones. I can think of quite a few I didn't like... the Goldie & KRS One thing, the Adam F Kaos remix LP... Maybe my memory's giving up on me but I just can't remember any hiphop+dnb tracks that stand out. Help me out!

Edit: Was just listening to this again, from the album 1984, thought I'd add the link:

Chin Graphic & Beans "I am Metal" (OSR012) was quite nice.

P.E.A.C.E from Freestyle Fellowship had one called "Your Body" that I liked, the rap was pretty much aimed at the dancefloor (not too deep) but the beat had a nice old-school vibe. He had another hip hop tune that had junglist amens at the chorus/as punctuations that was ok too.
I like Goldie and KRS' "Digital" though, and the Boymerang remix too, and the Reprazent tune with Bahamadia. IQ Collective's remix of Mos Def was hot too, actually I still play that at parties from time to time.
More Time...
There were a few nice Jungle remixes of hip hop from Goldie, 4Hero, Foul Play etc. back in ye olde day. But most of the best jungle/hiphop combos happened when Junglists just sampled rappers

Keep JUMPin ya Bastids

Yeah, I was thinking more about official collaborations where they're working in the studio together. I can only think of ones I didn't like such as the old Roni Size & Method Man - Ghetto Celebrity.

Seems crazy to think that artists like Goldie, Roni Size, Method Man and KRS One who I love for their own work, when they come together it's just a bit... meh... but there must be some good ones.

there's actually one before that which is more focused on hip hop sampling:

and yes profane's work treads very nicely btwn the genres Yes
Always rather liked Atlantic Connection - "Can't Destroy Love", although it would certainly have been a lot nicer if it wasn't just a two-step affair after the DnB switch half way through... It's quality for what it is though, don't own a copy myself mind you...

Shit I totally missed that. I was playing from my "Dashboard" where you don't get the full details.

Ah, foreign beggars, of course. I knew I recognised the voices, they've done some superb stuff. I'll have a look around for the Rockwell thing, he's doing some great things at the moment.
I quite like the new Noisia & Foreign Beggars track.

I always liked Lemon D's remix of Camp Lo "Lucchini"

and Andy C's remix of Busta Rhymes "Woo-haa"

... there's a few others too, they might come to mind.

"Hit The Deck" is a damn good shout Grin
I guess you could say the Lynx & Kemo album is hip-hop style D&B ?
I think it's quite good anyway.

Oh yeah, thought of a few more goodies :

Scarface - "Never Seen A Man Die" (4-Hero Remix)

Scarface - "Hand Of The Dead Body" (Goldie & Rob Playford Remix)

I liked that Goldie & KRS One collaboration on the Saturn Returnz album too "Digital".

I heard The Lone Catalysts - The Lone Catalysts (Danny Breaks Remix) today and it had a nice groove to it. It had that special Danny Breaks trademark sound as well, you know the thing he does with his breaks.

very nice pick. I used to have the vinyl for it too.

I always through the Reprazent/Bahamadia collaboration was stellar. It's a shame she didn't become a bigger artist. Her flow is immaculate.
Crystl - Perpetual Motion

really hard to find it online it seems, got it on vinyl somewhere though
I like this guys stuff, EYENSEE. New-ish producer from Winnipeg, Canada. He makes lil video edits for some of his tunes too.

Download ‘Hang On’ | MP3 : iPod Video

YES! Good call. That's certainly one I used to love. In fact, a lot of the tunes on New Forms could be described as Hip hop/Dnb even though some of the vocal styles are a bit like dnb MCing rather than hip hop MCing.

yeah - "New Forms" is soooo good, her rhymes and those beats were meant for each other.
