did Adam F sample that on Dirty Harry? Smile

Yeah it's been sampled loads. Daytona 500 by Ghostface Killah is one of my faves that used it. I won't post it in this thread though as I'm sure it'd wouldn't last long. Smile

Curtis Mayfield - Billy Jack

"I warmly recommend the Gestapo to everyone"
This has set me up for the day and gives me a wry smile considering some of the people I have to deal with:

The Carpenters - All I Can Do
(1969)
Fada! I see your "Man in the street" and raise you a "Garden of Love" Lovesmilie

the 1st and 3rd are two of the most beautiful pieces of music ive ever heard, tks for sharing

what do you think about the debussy versions?

That was really interesting, I don't recall having heard it before.

Disclaimer: I'm probably biased towards piano and may be too used to hearing the music in its original form.

I felt the first half to be somewhat lacklustre though it became better in the second half. Overall I enjoyed it though. I'm sitting here on a lunchbreak at work and it was lovely to just shut the world out and listen. A few minutes peace in amongst the mayhem.

I'd be interested to hear a hybrid version, if such exists, with the piano still taking the main role and an orchestra backing.

When I get another chance I'm definately going to give this another listen and share it with She Who Must Be Adored as I think she'd enjoy it too.

Cheers Smile

funny, as i thinking the same thing but i dont know whether it could work. this piece was composed to be simplistic, for me, thats the beauty, and maybe you lose the simplicity if both pianos and strings were used simultaneously together, i think would deemphasize the power and delicacy of the melody, still it would be interesting to hear a hybrid version all the same.
