what do you think about the debussy versions?

They're nice, but I much prefer the simple piano versions. The beauty of these pieces for me is the amount of space in them (especially in no.3) and the orchestrations rather fill it all in.

thought i should look for something outside my comfort zone. so i thought, "i've never explored 30s music outside blues." turns out it sounds pretty fresh * to me.

really interesting and captivating. referring back to the "context" thread, it's interesting trying to imagine watching that in a theatre during the depression era.
