Using a monthly system where I back up mixes and albums I've purchased / downloaded, burning the total to DVD to free up HD space. That figure is an approximate average of how many LPs I get through in 28 days circumference, since the beginning of 2008.

Attended an excellent gig run by Home Normal's Ian Hawgood at The Flea Pit in London yesterday. Flyers were passed around and got chatting to Rameses III, the special guests, who played the highlight of the night, ending with "The Kindness Of Letting Go", from my second "Back To Mine", in a higher octave. They were originally scheduled for this bill but were double booked as supporting Current 93.

Relmic Statute initiated the evening with a reel to reel tape machine and delicate, engrossing sound collages. Michael Santos upped the noise quota with quieter sections interspersed by dense drones. Experimedia head honcho Jeremy Bible flew in from the US to bring acoustic, synthetically porous walls of sound segued progressively in a pure laptop set. Ian Hawgood, Isnaj and Konntinent converged the flute, electric guitar and bowed violin into a billowing framework drowned in charged feedback. It's the second gig I've attended that focusses on pure ambience and instrumental hybridisations, and I hope to have another. [Image: meditate.gif]
After seven days plus of patient hand-picked selection, I am just 30 pages away from completing Arvo's database. [Image: angel.gif]
976 mails from that account. Imagine if everyone turned up.
No dress code, so whether you're cheerfully scruffy or prim and proper, no unresolvable issues there.
If your passion for heartwarming music resembles a sunken love affair, dunked in a drinking glass where the smitten sinks to the bottom, this could help it rise to the top.

300 letters in 48 hours to Alexander Thomas' UK clan. Most of them reside in Bristol, which wouldn't be a tiring journey by any means.
Icon_yippee Bristol massive... Hahaha
Well that was a success: I've since tested the replicated text by sending it to myself and it's stored in my junk folder, meaning I've wasted a lot of hard work letting people know of the show, as it will not be noticed unless one opens the cache. Neutral

This is because the SubVersion blog is blacklisted by MySpace's spam filter, but I didn't think it would discard a friendly announcement with a link to the site. Never mind - I'll be writing a reminder a few weeks prior so that will hopefully recompense the effort.
Hugs
Luckily I noted all friend names while investigating locations, so a bulk follow-up of 60 friends at a time was possible, as I could type the extensions and select recipients.

From Oxford Playhouse / Tickets Oxford website disclaimer of current affairs:

"Online and Box Office credit card bookings are failing intermittenly. Fire and flooding at a London BT building has disrupted access to our 3rd party payment software. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience experienced."

So, if you're an onlooker tempted for a ticket, contact me at [email protected] and I'll provide for the presiding future. [Image: borgsmile.gif]
Thirteen page scrolls for Thomas left. Careful not to duplicate if I subtly remember past mailouts. A document for museums prepared, and concert hall telephone numbers aggregated.

The Playhouse seem to have rectified their physical damage issues. Meanwhile, emailed the remainder of Oxford colleges who didn't reply earlier this annum. Digital copies circulated for one already; good news. [Image: mohawk.gif]
Alexander's instrument of choice:

"The theremin is associated with a very eerie sound, which has led to its use in movie soundtracks such as those in Spellbound, The Lost Weekend, and The Day the Earth Stood Still. Theremins are also used in art music (especially avant-garde and 20th- and 21st-century new music) and in popular music genres such as rock. Psychedelic Rock bands in particular, such as Hawkwind, have often used the Theremin in their work."

The acoustics in the Holywell are reportedly excellent, whereby the intermediary amplification of the theremin will be boosted, instead of marred by technical complications.

To infuse yourself with their creational pathways, I've made a mixtape for Fluid Radio, which included two tracks from Greg and Alex's respective discographies. It doesn't terrace strictly within ambient, classical and electro-acoustic boundaries - much like this concert, it will rumble the marrow of the musical categories while handsomely certifying dexterity in composition.

Muttley - 15 MOF Pt. 36 - Alone In The Cosmos - March 2010

"Alone In The Cosmos" cites Fluid Radio's selectors spiritually. Staking out ground, planning your next move - are targets. "Alone In The Cosmos" maximises your quiet time, an incense stick that will burn a pleasant aroma when revisited. Greg Haines and Alexander Thomas are blended to spark tangential eye, while electro rockers Glint were purveyors of the thematic lineage. "Dear brothers and sisters, dear enemies and friends: why are we all so alone here? All we need is a little more hope, all we need is a little more joy, all we need is a little more light, a little less weight, a little more freedom".

Harris Manchester college will pin a flyer to their noticeboard, Rapture have another batch of flyers, and Peter's cello shop in Witney have flyers and an A4 poster, all as of today.

Insistence on constant activity brings the danger of overflow, hence there will be a 15 minute interval to purchase merchandise and settle onself, whereas 30 minutes from doors opening, the concert begins.

Essentially I mean overtly informal behaviour (talking, adjusting seating positions, etc) can transpire if there aren't set periods to converse and simmer down. Amidst the performance, this would be undesirable.

Seating is first come first served, however there are no restricted views inside the Holywell.
muttley, check yer pms please sir
