from the previews it sounds a bit hit or miss... mainly miss. i mean its not total crap and there are some grooves but it's not really comparable to his output years back (i.e. chicks)

Good to see him releasing some new stuff...

"Emperors New Clothes" (the last 2xCD album with D&B / Techno discs) was very hit and miss for me, but the bits I liked, I REALLY liked.

yeah, is it really necessary is a clip is only 2 minutes long or whatever ?

I guess for the roll-out D&B tune, it would be possible to piece together a full track in an audio editor.

does that actually happen these days ?

I like Fools Love but not sure about the rest at the moment, this may be the first Klute album I don't buy, I shall wait and see what the rest sounds like.

Yeah ! Love that 12" in general and there's another track of similar stunning-ness on his other Octopus release

I like all them clips. But much like what Code said, all his albums are hit & miss for me but you're guaranteed a couple absolute classics.

Lot of time for Klute. Great DJ as well - or at least was in the mid-00s. Not really heard any sets for a few years.

If you mean do people make full tracks by piecing together clips then yes, it happens a fair bit when the new Original Sin/Taxman/Hazard tune is played.

yeah, that's what I mean though it's more the reserve of 'roller' type tracks.

I don't think us pots n pans purveryors need to worry about it.

(a) cos it's not the same loop throughout the whole track

and

(b) cos no-one likes that crap

Icon_eek you crazy! I LOVE the first Override 12" - it's right up there with his early Cert 18 bizness for brilliance. Yes

Don't like the 2nd Octopus one at all though (sorry Code, although neither does Klute himself if I remember correctly!) Lol

picked this up at redeye for £6

not listened to the first CD yet – I know what that'll be like... I can just hear the tedious skippy beats already

but the second CD is great, especially the last track: Son of Sam

okay, I spoke too soon; it's begun with downtempo beats and massive synth washes – quite nice Smile

edit: but again I spoke too soon – now on to track 3 and it sounds exactly as I expected Neutral

edit 2: although the last track Always Dreaming is quite nice too – it sort of sounds like drum & beachboys Smile
