Sly & the Family Stone - A Whole New Thing

Only discovered this last year and since then I've been constantly astonished at how much influence this album had on bands I love.

It sounds fresh even after 44 years

especially since there are Family Stone musicians on those records

she's a (funk)rocker, though. and sly's first album sounds more r&b-y / soulful to me :P
