Vagabondz Fundraiser
Friday 19th August 2011
The Garage, Islington, N1
On Friday the 19th August Londonâs leading bass promoters Vagabondz are hosting a fund-raiser in aid of the famine in Somalia, working in association with the Merlin charity - âThe UK's leading charity specialising in international health, sending medical experts to the front-line of global emergenciesâ
In light of the recent events across UK and particularly in London, we will also be donating 20% of proceeds from this event towards communities in London worst effected by the riots. Although recent news coverage of the riots has taken the spotlight away from overseas issues, such as Somalia (which has recently had 3 more regions declared as famine zones by the UN) we wanted to provide an opportunity for young urban residents of London to give back to their communities whilst raising money and awareness for the current crisis in East Africa.
THIS IS AN 100% NON PROFIT EVENT WITH ALL PROCEEDS GOING TOWARDS CHARITY.
