Yes

It was rubbish in my opinion, and I've watched some proper rubbish in my time.

Hugely overrated, was bored stiff the second time I had to sit through it. Coen Bros. went off the boil slightly when they made it. I loved A Serious Man though and was chuffed to see Michael Stuhlbarg appear in Boardwalk Empire - I think he's a brilliant actor.

Airplane?

You might need to forget the fact that you've seen every second of it 500 times on clip shows, but it is basically a work of genius.

But '100 greatest whatevers' lists are inevitably a bag of predictable balls unless they're deliberately random and personal anyway.

Its not that bad, not great, but responsible for some of the worst comedy ever made imo.

Tripe of the highest order. It gets the same reaction from me as when people mention Ferris Bueller's Day Off. What a load of shit!

which I've just gone and proposed as his 101th film:

Quote:I realize that Barry Norman limited himself to one Ealing Comedy and, indeed, "Kind Hearts and Coronets" is a very fine film. Nevertheless, I think any list of "greatest films ever" should contain "The Ladykillers" (Alexander Mackendrick 1955). It's a flawless film in every respect: in direction, cinematography, screenplay, acting — and especially for the performance of Katie Johnson, who upstages a bevy of more famous actors (Alec Guinness, Peter Sellers, Herbert Lom, Cecil Parker, Jack Warner...).

So that's my nomination for the 101th film: "The Ladykillers" (the original film of course, not the pointless Coen brothers remake).

Yeah good ghuyyyy, moved out of London and got a new job in the last year so working with some friends I was at Uni with instead of working for a bunch of mercenary cunts, life is good

On the subject of this list, no room for The Canonball Run? What a dispicable cunt
The Exorcist is terribly overrated. 5% hilarious prosthetics, 5% moody music and 90% hype.
Don't get me wrong, it was a landmark in the genre in terms of publicity and it is a decent watch but a patch on The Shining which till this day is the best English language horror I have seen. By some way.
Barry Norman's 101st film

Pulp Fiction (1994)

well, okay, I can live with that Xyxthumbs
