Been to Brussels? Recommend me nice areas to stay please!

Me and B will be heading over for 4 nights in March and after success using airbnb.com for last year's NYC visit, I think we'll use it again.

So with no hotel confines in place, what neighbourhoods would you recommend to stay in?
It would be nice to be somewhere relaxed, plenty of cafes and restaurants and not too noisy at night!

My advice is go to Bruges! Its much nicer

Never been to Belgium - would like to go - and wish you and B all the best for this Ben! I still have fond memories of Amsterdam and how fabulously picturesque it is.

Dave - Would love to do Bruges at some time but there weren't REALLY cheap Eurostar tickets to Bruges

Is there a Jean-Claude Van Damme tour? You could learn more about the Muscles from Brussels.

You should be able to go any train station in Belgium with a Eurostar ticket, but it seems that they are now charging € 6,50 extra.

It's difficult to say where you should stay, but one thing is sure, Brussels isn't a very big city, so you are never far from where you want to go (although the public transport are not always good).

If you are not affraid to walk a bit, the center is maybe the best, but again, it depends on what you want to do/visit.

Get the train to Bruges inzit you should at least go for a night or two. If you want a recommondation of a good place to stay then let me know. Been to Brussels a few times but only for a few hours at a time so dont know it.
