Studio monitors - In need of an upgrade and after opinions please.

I might look in to a monitor upgrade.

If you've seen any of my threads on here recently, you'll see I've been frustrated with the way I've been working (basically laptop and headphones)
And so I've been looking in to setting up the 'big studio' again.

I've got some old monitors, I've had them 14 years! And they weren't amazing when I got them, they were just what I could afford. (Spirit Absolute Zero MK1 - passive)

I've not read Sound on Sound or anything like that for years now so I'm completely out the loop when it comes to what's good and what's not.

So let's say I have about £600ish to spend, what would you recommend in that area?

Cheers! (and sorry for the waffly post!)
I have these and I love them : http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/jun09/ar...onpro8.htm

Thanks mate, never heard of them!

I'll add them to the "to check" list.
i have the older, passive version of these:

They came highly recommended by the dudes over at gearslutz.com, super happy with them. I imagine the new ones are slightly better.
