Apparently, vinyl sales are still increasing also this year. Three months to go 2014 and the sales figures for Vinyl LPs have already reached the overall figures for 2013.
Which is a good thing IMO, since I consider vinyl still to be a great thing. However, we are talking LPs here, not dance 12". Vinyl is here to stay as it appears and thumbs up for that. The top three selling LPs for the UK however were: Arctic Monkeys, Jack White and Oasis. Feel free to draw your own conclusions regarding that.
I don't run a label nor shop, but from a buyer's perspective the much talked about "renaissance of vinyl" doesn't affect the dance market much. There, vinyl is on the retreat.
