The official statement that is shown on the Arsenal website is the one that they have to issue to the stock market and shareholders so they are not legally allowed to cook the figures in that.

it's funny because the Spanish are saying the amount they got paid is undisclosed & 'Out of this world' & more than what Real paid for Beckham?
