School me please, i don't know anyone of the names you mentioned,
To many fantastic music productions i did not hear yet, or will never hear
Sure. Who doesn't? Wink I have End of an Epoch on CD, and I have Strappadology by Vetrophonia which I think he was involved with.

right so...

AMM – the dons of free improvisation; primary members: Eddie Prévost, John Tilbury & Keith Rowe

Tim Buckley – incredible vocalist with a massive range doing all sorts of variations of avant rock

Rev Gary Davis – old country blues guitarist ca. 1930

The Dirty Dozen Brass Band – funky modern brass band, incl. the astounding Kirk Joseph on Sousaphone

Fat – noise concrête music (not sure if this is played or constructed)

Conlon Nancarrow – american composer who dedicated (most of) his life to pushing the boundaries of the player piano

The Residents – american art theatre group who pioneered the use of the studio in rock music composition

Mongo Santamaria – leader of foremost latin percussion ensemble

The Undertones – classic N.Ireland pop-punk band (you must have heard Teenage Kicks surely?!)

Victor Malloy – very laid back downtempo stuff from Hefner & crew

Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys – 1940s/50s texas swing; an amalgamation of swing and country, with a silly vocalist going "yeeaaahh" "well alllriiight" at irregular intervals over the top Hahaha
Some names to check out there Smile Hoorah!

You should check out the Kevorkian Solution. I think they only have one record out, on Deathstill, which I don't have, but they do rock. Still trying to track down that recording.

Similar feeling to Spazztic Blur.

I just figured out who I can best compare The Kevorkian Solution and Spazztic Blur to - the Dillinger Escape Plan. They kind of sound similar but far, far, far superior.

I nearly mentioned them as well
just because...

They're OK, and fantastically talented, but I can really see them becoming the new slipknot. Ah well.

Everytime I type their name it always comes out as the Dillinja Escape Plan, and I have to correct it.
you know I'm into all that stuff UFO : ) except charles bronson who I always thought were way overrated/never got into
used to write to tak from D.I.E. they're good, but if you like them be sure to check out IRF who I think are (were) even better. similar super no frills grind stuff.
May I direct everyone to this page - http://rhinoplex.org/devnull/misc.html

Download all the music there please Smile
also, I disagree about spazztic blurr / dep analogy....spazztic blurr was all about FUN and just being stupid/messing around w/ music. not anal technical hardcore, pretty akin in spirit to the 1st old lady drivers album.

thanks for reminding me to go listen to the "Bedrock Blurr" demo though Wink

But it was very technical, even if it wasn't the point of the record Smile

those kind of bands were technical by accident in the same way that early Macabre was...
beats are there to be broken http://musicindevon.org/

I don't think it was by accident. They were talented musicians. They wrote and played songs that they thought was fun and interesting.

Nemo - Lightning Bolt were at All Tomorrows Parties weren't they?
