I thought Libra and Cosmopolis were both really excellent books, I can see where James Ellroy took his inspiration. Tried out White Noise on recommendation but wasn't enjoying it much so passed it on.

Did you enjoy it? It's quite arduous work getting through his books sometimes, I didn't gel with this much. I did love London Orbital and Hackney, That Rose-Red Empire though, lots of interesting accounts and his writing is a lot less demanding.
