Nice one Danny! Icon_yippee
B and Fanu started it.........

I am just bored at work and hitting refresh every 30 secs, I cannot be held responsible...........
On the SC night thingy...

I was thinking (think this was mentioned ages back in one of those 20 page threads) about having SC nights all over the world!

You know, we've got subverts here from all over, many of whom run nights. No reason, why these people couldn't run one-off SC promotional nights or even stick the SC logo on their fliers etc. Whaddya think?

esb Wrote:well as i mentioned before in an earlier thread....club246 might
be picking up an fm radio contract to do the nightshift slots (12-5am).

well it's official! we have secured the contract. as of right now i
will be doing one hour mixes to ftp to the main studios as i am
3 hours away from toronto. i have specified to the station
managers that the only slot i can consider doing on a weekly
basis is a friday or saturday slot as weekdays are too hard for
a guy whom wakes up at 5:45am each day for work to even
consider.

what's my point?
worst case scenerio: i have a 1 hour platform to showcase the
productions from some of our producers on a monthly basis
best case scenerio: i have 2 hours a week to do the same.

coverage of the station:
-fm radio that covers most of south western ontario (the
most populated area of canada) and parts of new york
& michigan state
-cable radio that covers an even larger segment of the
above mentioned places
-internet which covers any place with a connection

.....more concrete details as i get them.

serious biz, you need to get down here to celebrate... well done Xyxthumbs
Nice one ESB - the years of dedication have been worth it!
yeah at the expense of many things like losing my lady of 2 years.
i keep hearing the "your music is more important than me" type crap.

@ dubsta.... in these financial times the only way i can afford to come to toronto is if i am playing a few gigs to soften the financial
blow per say. i do not trust my 91 cavalier for more than home-work transportation
you can win your lady back with some new Alpha Omega bits????

Works like a charm everytime Smile

she doesn't like jungle Icon_sad

i don't want to win her back. in the end i was the one
that ended things for good. too many arguements over
stupid things. i'm sure another one will come along
when i least expect it.

how can i help?!

i certainly think that rinse magazine will be interested in what's going on here. once you guys have 001 signed up and a press release ready to go i can forward that to john @ rinse or put you in touch. really i think this may be something they might like to do an article on, say after a couple of releases? i'd love to help out w/ photography and such although i live so far away from everyone. Icon_sad i may make a trip over there next spring/summer? Smile

bassdrive is definitely a good idea! and one that i would personally like to get involved with. they usually have 150 - 300 listeners tuned in @ one time Icon_eek and definitely have a huge influence on what is "cool" in dn'b. i think we need a show on bassdrive. as it looks now i will probably be cutting back on jungletrain and doing a show by myself for maybe one or two hours a week. i'd really like a larger audience to promote my own label which will go hand in hand w/ sc, streetbeats and inperspective (forward thinking d'nb/jungle, each bringing a different angle). i've been organising my show for over a year now and i think i'd have time to @ least help w/ dj'ing/schedualing duties.

i think stickers and t-shirts are good ideas as well. as many places that you can get the word to, the better. Xyxthumbs
