Hi all,

I'm sure someone here knows this...

What's the break used in this tune (from the beginning)

used in lots of other tunes too, but this is the first one that came to mind.

I saw it ID'd as "Scorpio" somewhere, but I know that break and I'm pretty sure it's not that.
i think its this break, dunno the name but i uploaded it http://dl.dropbox.com/u/49452552/good%20break%203.wav

mixed in with another, the rolls sound like their from the break i posted, very clean and tight

further listening i dont think it is
Medeski, Martin and Wood - We're so happy

That's on the flipside of the 12".

Wonder who dug this one up first for a D&B tune ?

I initially thought that there would be loads and loads (and indeed there probably is) and it would have been raped over the years like most breaks, but everything thats popped into my head that uses it so far has ended up being plastic jam (94 studio pressure stuff etc)

theres that macc one on breakin used it I think, but that was only mid 2000's ish so must be something a lot earlier than that
absolutely lovin this break!! http://mp3.juno.co.uk/MP3/SF1818980-02-01-07.mp3
martin medeski and wood is generally brillant (not only the break) Smile

Discogs says that We're So Happy was released in '95, so I think you're mixing it up with the actual Plastic Jam breaks, which sound somewhat similar?

There's 2 other songs with that break I know, one is Macc - A8V and the other one I can't remember, but they're all not earlier than the Seba tune.
