even if it's unfinished, error laden, low quality or whatever.

lots of nice tunes in this thread.

all the things we do are really long and i cant be arsed to chop out bits so cant contribute at this stage.

Messed about a bit with that track i posted earlier. Fixed some problems with my overzealous filter use and sketched out the last half of the tune.

I've really gotta stop using my on-board arpeggiator, and start multi-tracking w/ a sequencer.
Then again, I'm like 4-6 input channels short of what I need, and the drum machine is being monitored by my sampler's inputs.

If I had a nickel for every time I wasted an entire night creating programs for my S5000 only to lose it all to a fatal error, I'd have like $2.45.
I can't count how many times I've had to mess about with ASIO settings, automation lanes, keymaps, MIDI cables, defective audio cables instead of actually making music.

I try to look at those situations optimistically. Recreating the material won't take nearly as long as the first go did.

Took a break from working on my first project w/ a sequencer in several years just to jack about w/ a sample.
Felt like demonstrating what can be done with 27+ year old technology and minimal/no patience.

overdubs during smoke breaks.

edit: It was 11:37 of loud, obnoxious glitches blips & bass. It blew my laptop speakers. I'll repost under different name if I can get it under 4 minutes long Lol

Did this last week, right as I started getting a fever that didnt break for a few days... hence the name i guess. Weird acidy roller thing... Just a quick sketch, really rough.

It's something I just found not just made.
Just me taxing the hell out of the pitchbend, and a little of "'whatsthisdo'ing"

I did not know that Yamaha made one of these. How does the sequencer work on it?

SU-10 or not, I like the song.

I meant to comment on In Search Of the Perfect Mystic & Slightly Detached about a month ago. I like what you do w/ your music. Xyxthumbs
Do you use an all software/hardware, or a mix of both?
https://soundcloud.com/the-quiet-overhea...oon-animal

That's the gist of what I've accomplished tonight, which isn't much.
Spent most of the night confused & tangled in wires. I'm in dire need of a new multi-track interface.
Oh wow, In Search Of the Perfect Mystic... that's from the before times. I really gotta clean up my soundcloud lol

Thanks for checking it all out Grin

I use an assortment of software, and occasionally the crappy arp on my akai mini. No space for proper studio gear at the moment.

One day my man cave will be mighty and full of midi

I spend a lot of time reading about gear fetishing esp. expensive vintage or analog gear. I started this thread because I was curious of what people were up /w all the stuff they have. It doesn't even have to be music. The Last Bump Babbit thing I made was terrible. Like everything else though I made it in a matter of minutes as practice, or for the hell of it, an experiment, or whatever reason.

This was to see what I could do with 1 second of sample time, a broken S612, and the Naughty By Nature break.

I combined crunk, dubstep and trap to discover a new genre.
I think I'll call it Crap Step.
