blind lemon jefferson - texas blues 1926-1929 (although it ended up being the 2002 re-issue and not the original from 1972. but i think it was pressed from the same 1972 plates which happened to be remastered from various 78s and the noise on each track is quite different Icon_yippee)

do it! if you get in the right mood, it's really powerful stuff. also there's so much grit, distortion, skips and warbley business from those old recordings, the character of it brings me right in. Smile

today mr postie dropped off the new banco de gaia album, which listening to now, has some nice cover versions of king crimson, pink floyd, & hawkwind.
also got his old album 'maya' too.

and i imagine tomorrow he's gonna deliver ed rush, nico, trace - torque & enforcers: above the law Dance

he's unique because he plays all styles
most of the old bluesmen had their thing and pretty much stuck to it
but BLJ played them all
